HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF COLONIZATION PEREIRA BARRETO
O Museu Histórico da Colonização de Pereira Barreto está localizado na Rua Hajime Fujimoto nº 1.000 e tem em seu acervo peças e documentos que resgatam a história da colonização de Pereira Barreto pela colônia japonesa.
O museu busca resgatar a história da colonização japonesa de Pereira Barreto, despertar e desenvolver a cultura e o instinto de preservação patrimonial da comunidade, conhecimento da diversidade de acervos existentes em casa departamento e na história dos primeiros colonizadores, criar uma mentalidade preservacionista e estimular o amor pelas coisas de sua comunidade, despertar o respeito pela comunidade através de seus bens culturais, despertar na comunidade o interesse pelo passado, lhe fortalecendo as raízes, enaltecendo e enobrecendo sua família, facilitando o entendimento de muitos fatos presentes, preparando-os para uma convivência harmoniosa.
Estão expostos no museu, importantes peças que ajudam a contar a história de Pereira Barreto como a carroça de tração animal da década de 50 doado pela família Kayama, a máquina a vapor utilizada para recalque de água do poço da Estação Ferroviária de Lussanvira, de 1930, e o painel do artista plástico James Kudo, neto de um dos fundadores de Pereira Barreto.
O museu é aberto ao público de terça a sábado, das 13h às 17h. O agendamento para visitas e informações pode ser feito pelos telefones 55 (18) 3704-1529, da Secretaria Municipal Turismo e Cultura ou 55(18) 3704-6888, da Associação Esportiva e Cultural Pereira-barretense.

Chegamos em uma tarde de sol escaldante e encontramos o Srº Sérgio Issao Masuda, uma pessoa extremamente solícita e simpática, que nos recebeu e nos passou muito conhecimento sobre o Museu e a história da colonização da cidade, juntamente com a sua própria história, que é claro se mistura com toda a cultura japonesa.
Contou nos sobre seu trabalhoa frente do Museu, sua paixão desde criança em reunir e guardar a história de seus antepassados.
Mostrou nos com grande alegria, a nova sala climatizada que esta sendo constrída no Museu, ato este que certamente irá enaltecer ainda mas a cultura da cidade, uma belissima iniciativa de arquivamento de patrimônio histórico, ato este que parabenizamos em saber de sua iniciativa.
