Como nossa visita foi bastante rápida, vamos mostrar aqui um pouquinho dessas maavilhas, e numa próxima ida traremos na integra, outros pontos turísticos da cidade maravilhosa.

Um dos pontos turisticos imperdíveis para quem vem conhecer o Rio de Janeiro, a estátua do Cristo Redentor, uma das sete maravilhas do mundo moderno, é magnífica!
Uma das formas de acesso ao Cristo é o novo serviço de vans autorizadas, que partem do Largo do Machado, direto para o monumento do Cristo Redentor. Conforme anunciado mês passado, a venda de ingressos para o trem diretamente na estação do Cosme Velho não será mais permitida. A capacidade deste transporte é limitada a 300 passageiros por hora. Para o visitante que optar ir de carro ou táxi, o ingresso também terá que ser adquirido antecipadamente, pois não haverá mais o ponto de vendas no Hotel Paineiras, na Estrada das Paineiras. Lá, será feita apenas a troca do voucher pelo ingresso ao monumento.No alto do Corcovado, dentro do Parque Nacional da Tijuca, a vista de diversos pontos do Rio de Janeiro é maravilhosa para os olhos e para a alma. No pico do Corcovado fica a maior e mais famosa escultura Art Déco do mundo, a estátua do Cristo Redentor é um dos principais pontos turísticos do Rio, eleito uma das Sete Maravilhas do Mundo, em votação organizada pela New 7 Wonders Foundation, da Suíça, entre 21 monumentos participantes de todo o planeta.

O Cristo Redentor é um monumento retratando Jesus Cristo, localizado no bairro do Alto da Boa Vista , na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, no estado do Rio de Janeiro, no Brasil. Situa-se no topo do morro do Corcovado, a 709 metros acima do nível do mar. Foi inaugurado às 19h15min do dia 12 de outubro de 1931 dia de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, depois de cerca de cinco anos de obras. Um símbolo do cristianismo, o monumento tornou-se um dos ícones mais conhecidos internacionalmente do Brasil.
Dos seus 38 metros, oito estão no pedestal e trinta na estátua, a qual é a segunda maior escultura de Cristo no mundo, atrás apenas da Estátua de Cristo Rei, na Polônia.

O Instituto de Pesquisas Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro, tradicional e popularmente referido apenas como Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro, é um instituto de pesquisas e jardim botânico localizado no bairro do Jardim Botânico, na zona sul do município do Rio de Janeiro, no Brasil.
Uma das mais belas e bem preservadas áreas verdes da cidade, é um exemplo da diversidade da flora brasileira e estrangeira. Nele podem ser observadas cerca de 6 500 espécies (algumas ameaçadas de extinção), distribuídas por umaárea de 54 hectares, ao ar livre e em estufas.
A instituição abriga, ainda, monumentos de valor histórico, artístico e arqueológico e a mais completa biblioteca do país especializada em botânica, com mais de 32 000 volumes.
